Description:

A 1986 self-portrait acrylic painting titled, Artist Growing out of the Ground, by the American artist Harry Hilson (1935-2004). Illustrated in bright orange over gray upon a blue and green ground, Hilson depicted himself as a flower with an intense gaze and heavy brow and beard. Unframed, the painting is titled, signed, and dated to the bottom. 

Measurements:

22” W x 30” H.

Condition:

Minor bending to corners. Age appropriate wear.
