Engraving featuring two hanging trophies with military attributes. Jean-Charles De la Fosse (or Delafosse) was a French engraver, architect, and designer. He authored Nouvelle Iconologie Historique where he presented his furniture design, his decorative art and architecture in the style of Louis XVI. "After commencing a career as a sculptor, Delafosse established himself as a prominent architect, designer, and engraver to become one of the originators of the heavy, architectonic, classicizing ornament of the Louis XVI style" (Millard). 

Another impression of this print sold at auction at Christies in 2007 for $2,875 (one of a set of four).
