A set of six hand-painted figures representing a selection of female adults and children in typical period costumes for a Spreewald event of circa 1900. Two of the ladies are in standing poses in traditional Brandenburg costumes, one of whom is carrying an infant. The other lady, also in period costume has the look of a Governess with two young children in her care, the girl in a pretty dress and hat and the young boy in a smart sailor suit. The ensemble is completed by the addition of a small dog. This set would be a very good choice for a modeller wishing to represent a Spreewald period festival or other Germanic cultural, period festival.
