PANHANDLE PETE AND JENNIFER #3 (CHARLES LOUE PUBLISHING CORP. 1951).  Television photo on inside front cover.  Based on the Chicago NBC children's television show that ran from 1950-1951.  This program won an award for "Most Outstanding Children's series" in 1951, but was still canceled shortly after it's sponsor, Quaker Oats dropped the series in favor of a "Gabby Hayes" program.  The show aired daily at first and later reduced to twice a week towards the end of it's one year run.  The program featured a story-telling old timer, "Panhandle Pete" who's stories featured puppets and illustrations by BILL NEWTON.  Artwork in this issue featured the talents of BILL NEWTON and STAN LOUIS.  VERY GOOD-FINE (5.0) condition.

This is a sound copy of this magazine with nice color and original luster.  The spine shows wear with a number checks and stress inside the spine edge.  At the bottom of the spine there is a 3/4" split.  The staples tightly bind the cover and all interior pages (centerfold photo provided).  On the back cover there are scratches and a tiny tear at the top of the split at the bottom right corner.  The interior pages look cream.
