A larger pocket size edition of the publisher's series of 'The World's Classics'. Navy blue cloth hardback with dentelle to cover and gilt title to spine. Slight signs of a watermark on some pages but it does not affect the clear reading quality of the considerable 606 pages. Owner's name neatly in ink inside cover and the original bookmark from the shop it was bought from delightfully still survives - Heffers Bookshop of Cambridge. 

This is the fourth of five volume in the series, this being 'English Verse' number 311 of the World Classics series. 

A lovely survivor and full of character of the era.
