Oskar Erdmann (February 14, 1846 - June 13, 1895) was a German scholar.  He received his doctorate from the University of Konigsberg on the syntax of Pindar, a Greek poet who belonged to the canon of lyric poets.  The volume in this listing is focused on the syntax of Otfrid of Weissenburg, a monk at the abbey of Weissenburg and the author of a gospel harmony in rhyming couplets now called the Evangelienbuch.

This work was originally published in two volumes, but they have been rebound together as one.
