This is not a game-used bat.
Mr. Freeman's autograph is in silver Sharpie.
The autograph was authenticated by PSA/DNA as a RookieGraph, as it was signed and submitted before Mr. Freeman's second full season in the major leagues.
This is from the PSA website:
"RookieBall™/RookieGraph™ Designation
Autographs that are signed and submitted to PSA/DNA before the beginning of the athlete's second full season in their respective sport are eligible for this special service. The concept here is to give the submitter a chance to document autographs signed very early in an athlete's career since autographs signed earlier are often valued much higher than ones signed later or after one's career. If the autograph passes PSA/DNA authentication, items such as baseballs, basketballs and footballs are given the RookieBall designation while all other mediums receive the RookieGraph designation."
Mr. Freeman's second full season was in 2012, so this bat was signed and submitted in either 2010 or 2011. He played twenty games for the Braves in 2010 and his first full season with Atlanta was in 2011.
It is interesting to view the evolution of Mr. Freeman's autograph. Look at some of his authenticated autographs from the last decade; his signature resembles double F's.
The PSA/DNA Certification number is R75106. The number is found on the PSA sticker on the knob of the bat and also on the included Certificate of Authenticity card. One of the photographs in this listing is a screenshot from the PSA Cert Lookup page and shows the Rookiegraph status. The Certificate of Authenticity specifically identifies this as a RookieGraph as well, see the photos.
Mr. Freeman is a seven-time All Star, a World Series Champion (2021), a National League MVP (2020), a Gold Glove Award winner (2018), and has a lifetime batting average of .301.
