New product from KAHR.US Circuits - Replacement displays for Extreme Skee Ball lanes!

Expanding on the popularity of my replacement LED boards for Model H or Model S Skee Ball, I am now manufacturing replacement LED boards for Extreme Skee Ball.  These boards replace the original printed circuit boards (PCBs) that used the obsolete MTN4123-AHR-A to display the game score and balls played.  My completely redesigned boards are drop-in replacements for these classic games.  

What you will get with this listing:
  • One Modern-style Replacement Extreme Skee Display:  This is the pictured display board.  It uses a micro-controller that is running software I wrote to convert the computer's data stream into score digits presented to the game's player.  I thoughtfully designed this board to fit directly on the original display mounts and to use the original display wiring connector.  ...super easy!
The Modern-style display digits resemble the electronic pricing signs at gas stations.  Be sure to check out my Retro-style display if you prefer the original retro-styling of the original displays.

Some technical details - My redesigned boards use today's technologies to recreate the look and feel of the original parts. For example, my boards are micro-controller driven so they are not using the out-of-production electronic components that were used to build the originals. I wrote the software for the micro-controller instructing it to perform the conversion of the Skee computer's data stream into the 7 segment displays.

How to install Skee Score Displays in your Skee Ball Machine

1.     Turn your Skee Ball machine off.

2.     Remove the display glass to access the installation area.

3.     Remove the original Score board from machine.

5.     Mount the Replacement Extreme Skee Display using the same hardware that held the original board in place.

6.     Connect the data cable to the bottom right corner of the Replacement Extreme Skee Display.

10. Double-check data cable connector alignment then turn on Skee Ball machine.

a.  The Replacement Extreme Skee Display board displays a test sequence that builds a snake line across the three display digits and a spinning animation on the ball count digit

b.   The computer takes over control of the displays once booted.
