Connector P.E.T. 100 Plug for RG62 / RG59 – Jye Bao CM3100-0062
The CM3100-0062 is a Connector P.E.T. 100 Plug designed for high-voltage signal and bias connections on coaxial cable. It terminates RG62 (93Ω) and RG59 (75Ω) cable and provides the classic PET-100 / PET100 interface found on detector heads and instrumentation across multiple industries.
Education and teaching laboratories
School and university physics departments use this P.E.T. 100 connector on Geiger–Müller tube holders and radiation demonstration equipment. This plug allows repair or replacement of worn cables on existing counters and scalers without modifying the instrument.
Scientific research
Research laboratories use PET-100 connections for photomultiplier tube (PMT) bias supplies, scintillation detector assemblies (NaI, CsI, plastic scintillators), and custom detector builds. Applications include spectroscopy, fluorescence lifetime measurement, cosmic ray detection and particle physics instrumentation.
Medical and diagnostic equipment
Legacy gamma cameras, well counters and scintillation-based diagnostic instruments may use PET-100 interfaces for detector head connections. This connector supports maintenance and repair of older equipment still in clinical or research service.
Nuclear monitoring and environmental detection
Survey meters, portal monitors, contamination detectors and environmental radiation monitoring stations often retain PET-100 connections from original manufacture. This plug enables field repair and cable replacement.
Industrial and energy
Radiation detection systems in oil and gas well logging, non-destructive testing (NDT) and process monitoring may incorporate PET-100 interfaces, particularly on equipment of UK or European origin.
This connector suits solid or stranded centre conductors and standard jacket diameters for RG62 and RG59 cable families. Termination requires a crimp tool with 0.320″ hex die (such as the HT-336F) for the braid ferrule, plus a temperature-controlled soldering iron for the centre pin.
