Standing at 25 1/2" total, and wearing her original chemies and delicate silk yellow dress is the very good condition for its age wax over papier mache doll made about  circa 1850 on.

It's a German doll that has a squeeze tummy that made a sound long ago ,no longer works. The body is original to its shoulder head and has wooden limbs. Aren't they devine!! 

Her head has molded blonde hair that had an area on back that lost its wax over at sometime.  It's hardly noticeable as you can see. Along with a few age fine cracks that are super stable and really hardly called cracks but more just age lines.  Cobalt blue glass eyes that are in original set. Closed pretty mouth all  of the face is painted finely. 

These type of early dolls are considered for advanced collectors and becoming harder to find especially in this condition. 

It's wearing a cute glass beads , very very old bracelet that I imagine a child might of added on years ago. 

I added the half slip myself as I felt the dress needed more fullness.Its held with a safety pin.

But all else is original.
