This is #1 in a series of 20 montages by Paul C. Winstanley that utilize a unique image-to- plastic film strip technique, first developed in 2020.  Images imprinted onto plastic film strips are overlaid on a white board that has been inscribed with calligraphic markings. The image imprints vary from opaque to transparent, revealing the underneath in degrees, which creates a sense of depth, layering and masking.  The surface is mostly glossy.   310mm x 360mm on up-cycled marine plywood.  Pictured next to a standard business card for scale.
