This exceptional antique George V sterling silver table lighter has a circular rounded form onto a circular spreading foot.
The rounded surface of the body is plain and embellished to the upper plateau with the contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an eagle displayed perched on a plaque displaying "105".
Either side of the body is fitted with cast sterling silver scrolling handles; one handle plateau features a push fit hallmarked cylindrical channel which allows access to the wick.
The centre of this antique silver table lighter is fitted with a hallmarked detachable taper holder surmounted with a cast sterling silver flame style finial.
ConditionThis antique sterling silver table lighter is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.
The cast ornamentation is very sharp and the bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the body and part hallmarks to each detachable component are all very clear.
