This exceptional cream jug is fitted with a fine and impressive cast handle modelled in the form of a snake; the snake"s head extends out within the vessel and the intertwining tail forms the lower terminal.
The underside of the base bears the retailers mark "Hancocks" & Co, 39 Bruton St, London" in addition to the registration number "W40" and the contemporary engraved initials "RCL".
