This clock features a stunning design aesthetic, rather reminiscent of a bat, in what is almost a deco-nouveau fusion. The hallmarks date the item to c1905. The movement is small, about the size of a pocket watch movement (that may be what it literally is).

This is an unserviced movement, so I can make no guarantee of function and I recommend it be serviced before using the clock. I had to remove the movement to clean the silver (from memory, need to rotate the movement or retainer a bit as there are lugs), and at some point it started ticking and ran for a long time, half a day to a day. I have not re-wound it since. The wood insert was originally purple flocked, it could be reflocked if desired or left as is for the antique look. I show a photo of the movement for your reference.

The white enamel dial, with sub seconds, is in excellent condition, and features stunning flinque green enamel discs, with silver colour borders, upon which the silver colour roman numerals rest. There is a dot minute track with gold dots on the hours.

While there isn't a lot of weight in the silver, the value of this piece lies in the incredibly beautiful design, and the well preserved dial. It should hold its value well over time. It is not very deep, so is best used on a shelf rather than a desk.
