Want to save on co2 scrubber media? The use of a recirculating scrubber set up considerably reduces the consumption of media whilst still maintaining the pH increase expected from scubbing!
This collar fits between the top of your skimmer cup and lid, your skimmer air inlet runs to your co2 scrubber cartridge as usual except the 'out' part of the media lid now returns to this skimmer collar therefore the already skubbed air is reused over and again!
Also included are 6 caps to insert into the lid holes further increasing the recirculation of already scrubbed air.
I have had this set up running on my own skimmer and the weekly consumption which was previously a full 10" cartridge of media has drastically declined.
