RTV Silicone Moulding Rubber - Fast Curing

The mixing ratio is 5% which is 5g of catalyst per 100g of base rubber

Cure time: 5-7 Hours

Silicone rubber is self-releasing making it the perfect moulding material as it peels straight off making de-moulding castings easy. It's flexible and elastic material with great tensional and tear strength. There is almost no shrinkage (0.2%) and excellent reproduction of fine detail without the use of a vacuum chamber due to its low viscosity. It has a long mould life with outstanding release properties.

The kit comprises of a white base rubber and a blue catalyst which provides a visual aid to ensure that the material is thoroughly mixed.

This rubber is suitable for casting a wide range of materials in particular various casting resins as well plasters, waxes and soaps.

It's not suitable for applying to human skin or with food.

Available in two hardnesses, soft and medium. The soft is better suited to moulding delicate, fragile items where the rubber needs to be soft and flexible enough to peel off without damaging the casting. The medium is suitable for the majority of cases.
