Antique MORIYAMA MORI-MACHI Lustreware 4 section divided dish w/ WATER LILIES. Excellent condition and clean.

Large squarish dish with colorful flowers and raised relief border designs covered in lustreware finish. Repeating patterns of water lilies on the inner face.

Measures 9 1/4 inches across by 1 1/4 inch high. MM etched/stamped on the bottom. HAND PAINTED JAPAN in red ink on the bottom.

No cracks, chips or stains. I find two small production flaws; 1.) there are minute raised pits on the bottom outer edges (under the glaze) and 2.) there are two spots (near holes) on the green border area that the green coloring did not take under the glaze. 

I find one post-production flaw: there is one minute nick on the outer edge.

This lovely and colorful dish is clean, bright and ready for service or display.
