Native to Central and South America, Ucuuba Butter is a natural butter cold-pressed from the seeds of the Ucuuba tree. The resulting butter ranges from brown to yellow in color and has a hard, dry consistency, along with a characteristic aroma reminiscent of nutmeg. Ucuuba Butter is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids.
Ucuuba Butter is ideal for making pomades, creams, lotions, body butters, and other skincare formulations where emollience is desired. Due to its naturally dark brown color, this butter can be used to produce richly colored dark soaps. It can also be used, in combination with other ingredients, to produce vegetable-based candles.
When adding Ucuuba Butter to creams and lotions, it may be necessary to gently warm the butter until fully melted to allow proper incorporation into the final product. For best results, use a hand blender to create a vortex in your cream or lotion, then slowly drizzle the melted butter to ensure complete and uniform blending. As with most raw materials, results may vary, so we strongly recommend testing with a small sample batch before full-scale production.
