HP SAS Expander Card. Used working condition. Pulled in working condition from some of my JBOD chassis's.

These feature 8 Internal SFF-8087 Ports, 1 External SFF-8088 Port.

External port can be used for linking to HBA in separate chassis, connection to additional expanders, or connect to more drives.

Can be used with a Dual Link connection (two SFF ports) to provide an 8 lane link to HBA (using the 2.10 firmware). This is how I had these cards deployed.

These are all fully working and updated to most current firmware at the time of listing 2.10.

With firmware 2.10, the expander can link to SAS drives at 6Gbs, or SATA drives at 3Gbs.

This means that this expander may not be the best choice for SATA based SSDs, as you can easily saturate the 3Gbps link. This card is excellent for SATA spinning HDD, as it's very unlikely any single drive would be able to achieve speeds this fast.

This limitation is only for SATA devices. This is just a quirk of this card.

Pictures indicate condition of available cards. You may not get the exact one pictured as multiple are available.

There is a great article posted on Serve the Home that goes over the details of the expander card in more detail under HP SAS Expander Wiki.
