This  fruit cake tin once held a 1 pound fruit cake, made by S.S.Pierce Co. in Boston, MA.  The company was first established in 1831.  At the top of the lid is an image of their logo, the eagle with lion shield.

A little rust appears at the bottom outside and inside, but this tin is still very functional.  The lid fits tightly once closed. Tin measures 6" x 3 1/4"x 2 1/4".
