"The Difficult Art of Flying" – EP
Because small is beautiful, I decided to record an EP containing five of my well-known songs, arranged by finger style guitarist Janek Pentz. Additional sounds were created thanks to the ingenuity of guitarist Darek Bafeltowski.
Dew has been the same for years, There is no free love in concrete houses, Rock me, I want to give you a little faith in a miracle / Lullaby for Teddy Bears /, Sails just above the ground - these acoustic versions of songs are a reflection of the atmosphere that prevails at our concerts .
Many times, after the concert, I was asked the question - Can I buy a CD with the music you play live?
I fulfill this request and give you "Acoustics". A small album that I hope will give you a lot of joy.
Greeting
Martyna Jakubowicz

"The Difficult Art of Flying" book
There is no free love in concrete houses - this hit was sung by all of Poland in the 1980s. Its author, Martyna Jakubowicz, remains one of the most interesting figures on the Polish music scene to this day. True to her hippie roots, she never allowed herself to make commercial compromises, representing the ambitious song trend, singing the songs of her loved ones Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell, participating in alternative projects, such as I Ching recorded during martial law - a legendary album featuring, among others, . Zbigniew Hołdys and Wojciech Waglewski.
Martyna Jakubowicz is the daughter of Tadeusz Żychiewicz, a writer and journalist, one of the charismatic figures of "Tygodnik Powszechny", author of the famous Father Malachiasz's Post Office. The author draws dramatic but tender portraits of her parents. The story about their difficult love and the psychomachy that takes place between them is a read that holds your breath. It is a moving, deep and painfully honest picture of the fate of the Polish intelligentsia, its involvement in history - and at the same time a record of the hot emotions and choices made by the author today.
A unique autobiography in which the voice of an outstanding artist resounds with particular power.
