HINKEMEYER, Michael T. Summer Solstice. New York: Berkley & Putnam’s. 1976. 8vo. First edition, first printing. The scarce true first printing of this pulp horror, uncommon in any edition, scarce in hardcover. The caption to front panel reads ‘the most chilling tale since Thomas Tyrion’s Harvest Home’. One woman is a slow learner in her Druidic Minnesota hamlet. A very good book, the spine tips a little sunned from exposure, the binding tight with a gentle lean. Internally mostly excellent, newspaper clipping attached via paper clip to the front flap causing some offsetting to endpaper, with Ziegler Associates Inc., LA sticker here. Else clean. The dust jacket unclipped, some offsetting to front flap as mentioned, with some small chips and nicks to most corners and edges, but a presentable copy. Scarce.
