In fair condition. Front and rear covers normally scuffed at edges and worn/bumped at corners. Head and tail of spine lacking, binding exposed. Water or tea dampness staining to bottom & top edges of front cover & bottom edge of rear cover. Toning to edges of covers & to spine. Top edges of half-title page and title page chipped. Some very sparse instances of pencil marginalia. Edges of leaves are un-trimmed. Binding is fragile with instances of exposed cording. Please see photos.  

  Jean-Paul Sartre (1905 - 1980) was a French playwright, philosopher, novelist, political activist, and literary critic. He was one of the major figures in the philosophy of existentialism, and he influenced sociology, critical theory, post-colonial theory, and literary studies.
