This $100 Confederate bill tells quite the story. It looks like it's the 1864 printing, but man, has it had a life. It is *very* worn, feels like a delicate piece of cloth. It is torn, weathered, and some pieces are have fallen off.....and at one point it was torn in half.
BUT....some time, over 100 years ago, this well-worn piece of Confederate currency's value was such that someone took the time to *STITCH* the two pieces back together again using a needle and thread! I have not seen another one of these around!
This bill has been framed. It is placed in an acid-free bag, and the bag itself is then mounted to the backing board. To get the bill out, just open up the frame and take it out of the bag - it is loose, and undamaged (well, undamaged during the 20th or 21st century....).
I've had this for almost 40 years, but now it's time for someone else to appreciate this amazing piece of currency.
