This antique Victorian, slightly domed glass brooch features a sweet baby boy. The colors – difficult to see in photos – are very delicate in warm yellows with some lilac shading. The circular frame of the brooch is a very pretty twisted wire design. It is in nice condition as expected due to age. I did not clean this piece as it is quite delicate, and cleaning has the possibility of removing or damaging the patina and should be done by an expert with experience. NOTE: The pin stem is fine: it isn’t loose, and the hinge works perfectly. However, it seems as though the previous owner soldered the C-clasp closed. I’m not sure if they were trying to turn it into a pendant instead? The pendant loop / C-clasp, however, does not line up correctly with the upside of the photo, so I am honestly not sure what’s happening! :) Someone handy could reopen the C of the clasp, but unless done by an expert, you run the risk of ruining the piece, so please be sure this is not a deal-breaker for you before you purchase this quite beautiful piece. As always, please look at the photos to judge the condition and make the final determination for yourself as you may have different or more exacting requirements than I do. Even the best kept vintage and antique items generally show minor imperfections due to age or use, I always note any noticeable flaws, regardless of how minor. My photos are essential to my description (you always get the exact item shown!), so look carefully and ask questions or for additional photos prior to purchase.

All items ship via USPS Ground Advantage unless otherwise noted. 

  • Items under 1lb ship for a flat fee of $4.75 domestic, regardless of distance. Additional items are $1.00 per item. Please message me if this price is not available as some listings may not have been updated correctly so I can fix it for you.
  • If your small items total $100 or more, I will upgrade your package for free to USPS priority.
  • Books and other media ship Media Mail (least expensive option) and will vary according to weight.
  • Large packages ship according to weight and size. If the price seems wildly high, please message me and I will check for a cheaper option.
  • It may take up to two business days for shipping. Expedited may be available upon request.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: 
  • I ship through eBay's International Shipping Service which includes the benefits of insured and trackable packages. Their shipping Q&A page has full details. The price should hopefully be comparable to previous pricing. ONLY if the price is much higher than former pricing, please contact me and I will see if there is another option.
  • You are responsible for all duties and import taxes. Please request an invoice or other documents if necessary. Papers showing the items inside the packaging will be included. I must include these or eBay will not honor the package insurance in the case of a problem.
