Tender Foot Rank Emblem: 

The Tenderfoot Rank Emblem is earned after completing the Tenderfoot requirements and after earning the first Scouts BSA rank: Scout Rank. It is the second of 7 possible ranks in Scouts BSA. The ranks for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class cover skills in camping, hiking, cooking, first aid, nature, fitness, aquatics, citizenship and leadership. Scouts will have completed the fifth grade and are at least 10 years old OR are at least 11 years old OR have earned the Arrow of Light Award and are at least 10 years old. Participants may continue to work on Scouting advancement until reaching their 18th birthday.

Second Class Rank Emblem: 

The Second Class Scout Badge is earned after completing the Second Class Rank requirements and after earning the first two Scouts BSA ranks: Tenderfoot and Scout rank. It is the third of 7 possible ranks in Scouts BSA. The ranks for Tenderfoot, Second Class and First Class cover skills in camping, hiking, cooking, first aid, nature, fitness, aquatics, citizenship and leadership. Cub Scout Wolf Rank Emblem: 

To earn the Wolf Rank Emblem, Scouts must complete six required adventures with their den or family, complete at least one elective adventure and complete the exercises in the pamphlet, "How to Protect your Children from Child Abuse: A Parent's Guide" with a parent or guardian. Once you've completed the pamphlet exercises, earn your cyber chip award. Once all requirements are complete, you have earned the Wolf Rank Emblem and are now a Wolf Scout. The emblem is red and yellow with a wolf in the center and is worn on the left uniform pocket. This is a restricted item and is available only in your local council trading post or Scout Shop with required paperwork.

Star Scout Rank Pin: As a Star Scout, the focus is on active participation, community service, leadership and merit badges. It takes attention and lots of (fun) work to earn each rank and this pin showcases a Scout's dedication! This gold pin is the official Star rank pin for Scouts.

BSA Boy Scout 1 Year Service Star: All youth or adult leaders who have reached one year of tenure with the Boy Scouts of America are eligible to begin wearing service stars. The stars are an underused outward symbol of how long you’ve been involved and a quick way for new Scouts, parents and leaders to see who has Scouting experience.

This auction is for a set of six vintage Boy Scouts of America pins for the ranks as described.

This collection belonged to a life-long Scouter who passed away in 2000. He earned his Eagle award about the age of 17, which would make it around 1959 (ish). He spent his life devoted to Scouting serving as Scoutmaster and at Boy Scout summer camps for over 15 years in positions from counselor to eventually camp director.

He was a ten year member and Vice President of the local Volunteer Fire Co., ten year member of the area Hazardous Materials Response Team and the town Tax Payers Association and was an Eagle Scout with Gold & Silver Palms, one of the highest ranks in Scouting.

A bronze palm represents five additional merit badges, a gold palm 10, and a silver palm 15. 1 gold palm and 1 silver palm = 46 total merit badges (21 required + 25 additional) 

I cannot divulge his identity because I don't have the family's permission, nor sufficient background information on him.

Condition: This vintage set of pins is in excellent condition for being around nearly 50 years old. It has only the slightest tarnish from age.  Note: Due to quantity available, the item you receive may be similar but not be the exact item pictured.
