The commemorative coin of the National Bank of Ukraine "Vydubytskyi St. Michael's Monastery" with a face value of 5 hryvnias (in a capsule), is a part of the series "Spiritual Treasures of Ukraine" and is dedicated to a unique monument of spirituality, history and architecture, the ancient monastery of the same name in Kyiv, founded by Prince Vsevolod, son of Kyivan Prince Yaroslav the Wise, near his country residence in the Vydubychi tract, where, according to the chronicle, a wooden idol of the god Perun floated up, which was thrown into the Dnipro River near Starokyivska Hill during the baptism of Kyivan Rus by Prince Volodymyr the Great.
