First American edition, scarce. Three in one. Thomas Chandler Halliburton (1796-1865) was a Nova Scotia politician, judge and author. He first rose to international fame with this work, which first appeared in the Novascotian and was later published as a book throughout the British Empire. It was popular light reading and recounted the humorous adventures of Sam Slick.
