Felix Dubois was a French traveler, entrepreneur, and journalist, best known for his writings on his travels of French West Africa. Dubois spent several weeks in Timbuktu, where he spent most of his time taking photographs of what he saw and making notes in his personal journal. He applauded the city for cementing itself so firmly into intellectualism and education. Any issues with hinges or binding due to age or wear could provide an excellent opportunity for restoration or rebinding, if desired.
