Please review all pictures for overall condition and size. Wear is consistent with age and use. A few chips, one crack and some nice crazing noted. Plates have no mark on the back but we think they are Japanese. We believe they have some nice age to them, at least early 1900s, possibly 19th Century. Hard to say exactly. Material seems different, like stoneware. They have decent weight to them. The Motifs have a little Mountain in the design around the rim of the plates. Starts to make us think Mt. Fuji? In the middle there is nice floral and butterfly designs. Some of the paint in places has the raised/embossed texture. Overall, a great old plate/Low bowl set that will display quite nicely in any collection.
