This is a genuine 1946 magazine advertisement for Lucky Strikes cigarettes copyrighted by the American Tobacco Company. It is professionally framed by me in authentic extinct Wormy Chestnut lumber salvaged from old barns in West Virginia and Southwest Virginia. All materials used for mounting and matting are acid free. The back is covered with waxed brown paper. The installed hanging hardware includes
d-ring hangers with two screws and plastic coated 30# hanging wire. The bottom corners have 1/2” rubber bumpers to protect your wall. The “glass” is acrylic.
The framed advertisement has nominal outside dimensions of 16” x 20-1/2” x 1-1/2” with a mat window of 11” x 15”. The frame is sanded smooth and remains unfinished. I have several advertisements from the teens, 20’s, 30’s and 40’s (cigarettes, Coke, automobiles, etc) that I will be framing and listing here and in my Etsy store Bravo Company Shops. I will also make custom Wormy Chestnut, or oak barn wood frames to your specifications.
