Robert Buist was a Scottish-born nursery and seedsman based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He became one of the most prominent horticulturists in the nineteenth century through his business and manuals, such as this one. A great addition to the personal collection of any garden enthusiast wanting to learn about older techniques that proved successful in the nineteenth century. Any issues with hinges or binding due to age or wear could provide an excellent opportunity for restoration or rebinding, if desired.
