There's an on and off switch on the bottom, otherwise picking it up will allow the talking. But if it sits still with no movement, then pushing the bobblehead down one time, makes it talk. On the figure's LEFT side of his black cap, there's a small area of "factory" touch up paint. Not noticeable but you may want to check out those photos. There are no other imperfections or loss of paint. The photos just pick up the shine/light. Has been in a glass doll case for nearly 10 years so I imagine the ones listed as “new in box” would have dead batteries, which is why I put in new ones. This is from a smoke free/pet free home and ships to continental United States. It weighs almost 9 oz so packed carefully in a box (with bubblewrap), the weight will be over 12 ounces and equate to a one pound mailing rate.
