The #148 is interchangeable with the No.5®, #28, #58, #118, #119, #158, and most manufacturer's Medium Centerset OEM knuckle couplers. For a #38 equivalent use the #148 in a #252 Gearbox. #148 is also a direct replacement for most Bachmann On30 couplers. Supersedes product #14.
