Two-component craquelure "Fineline" set, 2x100 ml, Pentart. Two-component water-based craquelure varnish "Fineline", used in the aging technique to create transparent thin cracks on surfaces made of wood, veneer, MDF, cardboard, and glass. Varnish component 1/2 is paired with varnish component 2/2 from the same series. After drying, the varnish becomes transparent and glossy. With this set of varnishes, very thin cracks can be created. The finished work with such craquelure will have an effect similar to old cracked porcelain, where the cracks are barely visible and are quite far from one another, the cracked particles of this craquelure are very large.

Component 2/2 of this craquelure series has a yellowish tinge that gives the surface an extra aged look. This is the only craquelure in which the work must be rubbed with non-water-based materials (patina, aging paste or oil paints) to emphasize cracks. When using a two-component varnish, the first component must dry completely, only after that the second varnish component is applied.

The drying process usually takes about half an hour, but in cold weather or humid air this time may be longer. The second component of the varnish can be applied even the next day. How to use: apply component 1/2 on the decorated surface and leave to dry completely (30 min-2 hours, depending on the thickness of the applied varnish layer). After that, apply component 2/2, which will create cracks when dry (the first cracks will appear after 5 minutes). For better cracking, use a hair dryer (the process of cracking accelerates when heated). Rub cracks with pigment, solvent-based patina, aging paste or oil paints.

To apply varnishes, use synthetic soft brushes.
