This exceptional antique ViCtorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a pedestal and circular domed spreading foot.
The body of this impressive 1850s silver goblet is encircled with a band of bright cut engraved conjoined floral and leaf festoons.
The upper portion of the pedestal and rim of the foot are encompassed with applied gadroon decorated borders.
The domed foot is embellished with a bright cut engraved crest of a demi-lion Lion rampant regardant.
This sterling silver goblet retains the original gilt interior.
ConditionThis antique 1850s silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition in keeping with age.
The bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp and the applied borders are very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the foot are very clear; the maker"s mark has not been precisely struck.
