The picturesque miniature boxes of the Fedoskino school are known around the world. Fedoskino caskets are created by masters manually, painted with thin squirrel tassels, using mother of pearl and paints created according to an old recipe.  The mineral dye is mixed with egg yolk, water and vinegar, getting bright, saturated colors.

Mineral dye is mixed with egg yolk, water and vinegar, obtaining bright, rich colors. The use of gold leaf and mother-of-pearl add a special effect.

    In the painting, the artist depicted a wonderful summer forest landscape, in which in the foreground you can see Christmas trees and pine trees in close-up, and in the background - only the tops of the trees and the blue sky. This is a rather atmospheric work. The craftsman paid great attention to every detail, and as a result, you can enjoy viewing this work. All the details of nature are made with a very thin brush in the artist's characteristic manner.

       The casket is made of papier mache. The outer part of the box is covered with black lacquer, and the inner part is covered with red lacquer.

     The lid opens upwards. At the bottom of the picture, on the right, the box is signed by the master.rent in the style of Fedoskino.

      At the final stage, the box is varnished, which is leveled and polished until it shines with a mirror shine.
