In good condition. Dust jacket has some age-related wear. Covers and spine have slight age-related wear, discoloration, and some tears along the edges. Pages have age-related toning and foxing. Some pen inscriptions from a previous owner. Hinges are in good condition and pages have good support throughout. Illustrations have some slight age-related toning and foxing, but are in good condition and clear to see. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. 

Edward Whymper was an English traveler, illustrator, author and mountaineer known for the first ascent of the Matterhorn in the year 1865. Lady Blanche Murphy was a socialite who also wrote about her travels. The two works of writing are included and illustrated in this wonderful volume.
