Fixed L-pad board. 

Custom printed circuit boards designed for general purpose DIY speaker crossovers or rebuilding crossovers.

These boards are designed to give a clean layout and allow for easy crossover assembly. 

*NOTE - No crossover components are included*

The L-Pad board can be used to attenuate the output level of any attached speaker by reducing the power reaching the speaker by use of a pair of resistors without changing the impedance load seen by the amplifier.

This board is designed to utilize two 10w size ceramic or sand cast wire wound style resistors.  Any number or combination of resistance values can be used depending on the the load impedance and amount of attenuation required.

Some example resistor values:

8Ohm speaker 6dB attenuation - R1 = 4 Ohms, R2 = 8 Ohms

4Ohm speaker 6dB attenuation - R1 = 2 Ohms, R2 = 4 Ohms

8 Ohm speaker 3dB attenuation - R1 = 2.4 Ohms, R2 = 20 Ohms

4 Ohm speaker 3dB attenuation - R1 = 1.2 Ohms, R2 = 10 Ohms

8 Ohm speaker 1dB attenuation - R1 = 1 Ohms, R2 = 62 Ohms

4 Ohm speaker 1dB attenuation - R1 = 0.47 Ohm, R2 = 33 Ohms

These boards measure 1.5" x 3.5" and feature large solder pads and copper traces for great electrical connectivity.

4x Snap in PCB standoffs.

4x Mounting screws (screw finish may vary).

Assembly:

Glue components to the required positions on the board (hot melt glue works great) and solder the leads to the pads on the bottom of the board.
