Part of the first Uzbek banknote series to use the Latin script for Uzbek text instead of Cyrillic, the 50,000 Uzbek som banknote is a purple paper note that measures 144 mm by 78 mm. The obverse side has the coat of arms on the left and the statue of three storks flying above a globe on the Arch of Ezgulik in Tashkent in the center. The reverse side features the Anjumanlar Saroyi (Palace of International Forums) building in Tashkent. The note has a 4-mm wide windowed motion security thread with a slide 3D effect, a watermark of the coat of arms, an electrotype watermark of 50000, and a stylized arch registration device.
