This listing is for an easy to make up painted bus stop pole model & card decal accent kit which has been designed for the minimum of fuss but the maximum result for your layout or diorama. The pole is made from white metal and will need to be fixed down to a base or surface. The decal kit has been printed on to top quality 200 GSM card using the best inks so that you can be sure that these decals will stand the test of time.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE: All of our decal kits need to be assembled, but before this can be done the decals will need to be carefully removed from the sheet by cutting them away one by one with a craft knife, scalpel or fine scissors. Please understand that no glue or tools are included to make up our decal kits and all of the items we sell are intended for adults and not children and the kits require accurate and careful assembly especially when using knives and scissors.
WHAT YOU GET IN THIS DECAL KIT:
The flags when cut away from the sheet are designed to be used both sides of the pole and when fixed will join together to resemble a double-sided stop flag. Once you have decided which type of flag to use on the ready painted metal pole that is provided, you will then be left with spare decals, namely a pair of spare flags and 3 timetables to use as and where you wish; as you can see from one of the photos, the flags also look good fixed to street lamps as many were back in the day.

PRODUCT DETAILS:
*This is the full height of the pole - the pole has been designed so that the slimmer shank at the bottom end of the pole inserts into the base on your layout or diorama. Once the pole is fixed and the unpainted shank is below "ground level" the height of the stop will be 40mm.
IMPORTANT
The bus stop pole is made from very delicate white metal that can easily break if adequate care is not taken. To cut down the shank to whatever length you require it to be, use modellers side cutters which will leave a clean edge. The metal is very soft so it will easily cut with the cutters, but if you attempt to break the shank off manually or use a saw then the entire shank will probably break off leaving you with nothing to fix into your base which will render the pole useless. Remember that the strength of the pole is in the length of the shank so try and retain as much length as possible so as to provide a secure fixing. Once you have cut down the shank, insert it into a pre-drilled hole (the diameter of the shank is 1mm) and fix into place using glue (not included) taking sufficient care to keep the pole 100% upright until the glue has dried.
