Rigid distal finger splint is designed to support and protect the distal region of the finger. Our distal finger splints are available in 7 sizes. To find the correct size, simply measure around the final joint.

Features & Benefits:

  • Rigid distal finger splints are designed to support and protect the distal region of the finger.
  • The most common condition is known as mallet finger and this is caused by injury to the tendon that extends the finger, preventing the final joint of finger from fully straightening out.
  • The Orthotix splint holds the distal interphalangeal joint (the final finger joint) in a neutral/extended position during rehabilitation.
  • Our splints are also suitable for protecting injuries to the end of the finger and the nail bed, for instance crush injuries caused by trapping the finger in a door.
  • While wearing a mallet splint of the correct size, you should still be able to move the middle knuckle (proximal interphalangeal joint)
  • Our distal finger splints are available in 7 sizes. To find the correct size, simply measure around the final joint (distal) at the end of the affected finger or thumb, and then identify the size you need from our table in the images.
  • The splint is made of plastic shaped like a well secure sleeve covering the tip of the finger including the last joint of the finger. Secured the splint in place by using tape and is intended to be kept on for protection and immobilisation to enhance healing.

 Indications For Use:

  • Injection moulded to high tolerance providing ultra smooth edge for patient comfort
  • Perforated design providing ventilation
  • Premium stability
  • Easy application
  • Please note that tape is not included with our product

About Us

Orthotix is proud to be flying the flag for Wales in the orthopaedic healthcare sector. Operating as an omni-channel business, we supply a diverse range of healthcare products to hospitals, orthotic businesses, private clinics, sports organisations, and directly to the public through retailers and our established online platforms.

Our roots date back to 1972, when our founding company was established to support people with disabilities in the Cardiff community. What began as a local service soon expanded nationwide, supplying custom-made orthoses through National Health Service (NHS) contracts.

Today, Orthotix forms part of the last remaining Orthotic House in Wales with full manufacturing capability, offering both bespoke and ready-made orthotic products.

At Orthotix, our purpose is to support the health and wellbeing of the public by improving access to functional, affordable, and high-quality Class I medical devices and healthcare products.

We believe everyone should have access to effective orthotic healthcare solutions that promote mobility, independence, and comfort. By working closely with Healthcare Professionals, NHS partners, and retailers, we make clinically approved products more accessible to those who need them most across the UK.
