Designed by Leading Sports Podiatrists for Various Foot & Ankle Conditions
The medically approved TheraPedi was developed by Podiatrists in association with elite national sports teams. It is a reusable means of providing hot and cold therapy for various conditions specifically relating to the foot and ankle region of the body. The innovative registered product design of the TheraPedi enables effective application of hot or cold therapy across multiple sites from the shin down to the toes and everything in between.
What Conditions Does TheraPedi Target?
The TheraPedi can be used to offer hot or cold therapy for a
multitude of foot and ankle conditions. Its multi-positional design offers
targeted relief from; tired feet and sore heels, achilles tendonitis, plantar
fasciitis, sprained ankles, shin splints, bunion pain, broken toes and many
other pathologies of discomfort.
How Does The TheraPedi Work?
The application of hot and cold therapy is widely
recognised as an effective means of
helping relieve pain and reduce inflammation. Cold therapy should
ideally commence shortly after an injury is sustained, whereas hot therapy is
advised for chronic or more long-term pain. Alternating heat and cold is also
thought to reduce exercise induced muscle pain.
When using TheraPedi for cold therapy, it works by
reducing blood flow to an affected area of the foot and ankle which in turn
reduces inflammation and swelling, minimising pain and discomfort.
Once an affected area of the foot or ankle has been
cooled and any swelling has been reduced, the TheraPedi can then be used to
apply heat in order to get the blood flowing freely again. It may sound like a
strange concept to slow the blood flow down only to speed it up again soon
after, but this helps to “clean” the affected area and to ensure that fresh
blood with all of its nutrients can be delivered to assist healing and repair.
In addition to hot and cold treatment, the TheraPedi
also offers an adjustable level of compression therapy across any given
application site.
How Do You Use The TheraPedi?
It’s important that you follow the instructional user guide enclosed within the TheraPedi packaging as this clearly outlines safe instructions for hot and cold therapy application. If you are diabetic or suffer from poor circulation it is advisable that you consult a medical professional before using the TheraPedi. TheraPedi is multi-positional enabling it to be used across various sites of the foot and ankle region. The diagrams illustrated in the Professional User Guide included with the product showcases some of the most used positions for effective treatment.

Orthotix is proud to be flying the flag for Wales in the orthopaedic healthcare sector. Operating as an omni-channel business, we supply a diverse range of healthcare products to hospitals, orthotic businesses, private clinics, sports organisations, and directly to the public through retailers and our established online platforms.
Our roots date back to 1972, when our founding company was established to support people with disabilities in the Cardiff community. What began as a local service soon expanded nationwide, supplying custom-made orthoses through National Health Service (NHS) contracts.
Today, Orthotix forms part of the last remaining Orthotic House in Wales with full manufacturing capability, offering both bespoke and ready-made orthotic products.
At Orthotix, our purpose is to support the health and wellbeing of the public by improving access to functional, affordable, and high-quality Class I medical devices and healthcare products.
We believe everyone should have access to effective orthotic healthcare solutions that promote mobility, independence, and comfort. By working closely with Healthcare Professionals, NHS partners, and retailers, we make clinically approved products more accessible to those who need them most across the UK.
