Polk Audio Buckle headphones

Polk's Buckle headphones feature a built-in rocker switch for controlling music playback, taking calls, and adjusting the volume with your iPhone (shown in Brown).

It's not surprising that Polk Audio has successfully married function and fashion with their Buckle headphones. They've been doing this with their speakers for years, making them a favorite among our customers. Even though we've come to expect great-looking, great-sounding, affordable gear from Polk, these headphones caught us by surprise with their cool textured leatherette covering on the padded aluminum headband. And those large metallic...let's call them buckles — they provide a nice contrast from the leather, giving these headphones just the right touch of bling to offset their otherwise understated looks.

Carefully tuned for pure playback

Naturally, the Buckle's looks are just part of the story. Polk's proprietary Dynamic Balance tuning regulates the internal resonances of the drivers and housing to keep distortion from mucking up your music. Each of the 40mm drivers has been refined using Polk's Optimized Electro-acoustic tuning method. As a result, these headphones reproduce your music with natural, accurate sound that's faithful to the original recording. The closed-back earcups ensure you can hear all the smoothness and detail these headphones deliver by fitting completely around your ears to keep external noise from intruding into your musical enjoyment.

Built-in controls for Apple® devices

Rather than building a remote into the 48-inch cable, Polk added a rocker switch and microphone on the Buckle's right earcup. Press the switch to answer a call on your iPhone® or control music playback on any Apple device such as and iPod® or iPad®. Rock the switch up and down to raise and lower the volume of music and calls.

Listen in comfort, at home or away

There's one more key element to the Buckle's design: padding. There's plenty to go around on the headband and the earcups. It's plush enough to keep you listening deep into albums and playlists. Use these headphones on the go with your smartphone or tablet. Or pop the included 1/4" adapter on the mini cable and connect the Buckle to your home stereo for a relaxing evening at home.
