The 2018 20 Guernsey pound note commemorates the 100th anniversary of World War I. Instead of olive branches, the seal of Bailiwick is surrounded by poppy flowers. Other commemorative features include a foil poppy flower in front, and every serial number has the prefix TGW, which is short for The Great War. The obverse side also features Queen Elizabeth II, and the St. James Concert Hall in St. Peter Port. The reverse side features the Vale Castle, and St. Sampsons Church overlooking the harbor. Its security features include a watermark of Queen Elizabeth II and cornerstones, a windowed security thread, and a demetalized Guernsey text. It measures 149 x 80 mm.
