The 1981 Saint Helena pound banknote has the corrected spelling of ANGLIAE on its back and is smaller than its preceding version. The green note has dimensions of 144 mm by 66 mm. The obverse side depicts a scene of seven ships sailing off the shore of Saint Helena Island, a compass rose, and a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse side features the East India Company coat of arms and the crest of Saint Helena Island. The note does not have a watermark. However, it has a solid security thread.
