This is the Homco Bisque Porcelain Victorian Lady called "Belle of the Ball", #1463. Look at her beautiful face that seems to look back at you that just seems to come alive. And the way that her head tilts is so adorable. I can just see her at the party and yes, she definitely is the Belle of the Ball. That lovely dress with the red roses and ruffles around the top with puff sleeves and that blue waist sash and bow in back and wearing a double strand of pearls just screams beauty. The feather in her hand kept her so very cool.
Now, about her condition. She has had a long wonderful life and so has some scuffs and stains but is all intact except for her poor, poor arm.
THIS IS A TRAGIC STORY, YES SUCH A TRAGEDY. You see, it was like this. She was so excited for the evening as she anticipated meeting the prince she had longed for on so many sleepless nights. This was the night. She entered the room fanning herself with her feather and all eyes were on this beautiful woman as she strolled toward the piano to better hear the laughter that was emanating from the song ,Golden Slippers. As she sang along with the others, there he stood, the prince from her dreams. He came toward her, she gasped, he took her in his arms to pull her onto the dance floor when he spun her around, it happened!! He accidentally tore her arm right off. THE END.
