#A-FB2819 Mysterious, noble, beautiful - the unicorn appears in legends all over the world. In the West, it is most commonly told as a white horse with a single horn, swift of foot and almost impossible to capture. Alexander the Great claimed to have ridden one into battle, and Julius Caesar, to have seen one in the wilderlands of Germany. During the Middle Ages, it was believed that the only way to capture a unicorn was with a beautiful virgin - the unicorn would come to her and lay his head in her lap.
