When you using hand electric drill, start slowly, 45 degree angle, go vertical after you make an initial mark

How to use a hand drill to drill holes in the stone/tile?

Step 1. The bit on the stone/tile 45 degree, open a half-moon notch on it

Step 2. Slowly up the bit to 60 degrees, and then gently drill

Step 3. Reached 90 degrees, continue to drill

Step 4. Drill through the stone/tile finally, the technique requires a "wobble" of the drill rather that steady pressure straight on

The other considerations are depth, if you go more than the 1” or so the bit allows you will need to stop drilling and take a cold chisel to remove center section of limestone
