Who is the best Polish guitarist of all time? There is no answer to this question, but one thing is certain - in all statements, rankings, lists, Dariusz Kozakiewicz it was always at the top of the table. He is one of the most versatile Polish instrumentalists, an exceptional guitarist and an excellent composer. It is just celebrating its 70th birthday and 50th anniversary of artistic work.

When Polish rock 'n' roll was gaining momentum, Dariusz Kozakiewicz was already an important part of it. He started in Warsaw clubs "Stodoła" and "Medyk". There he played with the groups FATUM and FIVE. In the latter band, he met Tadeusz Trzciński and Krzysztof Dłutowski, thanks to whom Darek's brilliant sound, great solos and strong riffs filled the songs of the today's cult album "Blues" by BREAKOUT.

A moment later, he joined the TEST group, which, thanks to Kozakiewicz, completely changed its character, definitely going towards hard rock. To this day, TEST is considered to be the precursor of this genre in Poland.

In the mid-1970s In the 1980s, Dariusz Kozakiewicz was already a musician with an exceptional reputation, and almost all Polish artists began to use his possibilities, regardless of their style.

Dariusz Kozakiewicz was lucky with great bands, and they were lucky that a musician joined them. In 1997 he formed a guitar duo with Jacek Krzaklewski PERFECT. In the group he was not only an outstanding instrumentalist, but also a composer of many hits. He also composed the last single PERFECTU "Głos", a beautiful finale to this unfinished story.

Released by The Music Agency of the Polish Radio double-disc album Dariusz Kozakiewicz "Crocodile" it is only a compromise to what could be presented on five or even 10 discs.

The first album consists of Kozakiewicz's compositions performed and sung by Anna JANTAR, Marek PIEKARCZYK, Natalia SIKORA, Patrycja MARKOWSKA and teams MATURITY CERTIFICATE, TEST and, of course PERFECT.

On the second album we hear unforgettable riffs and solo parts that Kozakiewicz performed in songs performed by bands BREAKOUT, AIR CONDITION, HOMO TWIST, and Ryszard RYNKOWSKI, Grzegorz MARKOWSKI, if Wojciech KORDA.

This is the first album released under the name Dariusz Kozakiewicz and a beautiful summary of his 50 years on stage and in recording studios, crowned with the song "It's not a joke" composed by Kozakiewicz in 2021, in which Darek makes his debut ... as a vocalist!
